Delete your Imani Health account

Option 1 — Delete from within the app

1. Open the Imani Health app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Settings.
3. Select Delete Account and follow the confirmation steps.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or prefer not to use it, email us from the email address registered to your account:

Please use the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address or phone number associated with your account. We may ask you to verify your identity before we process the request.

What happens after you request deletion

• Once your request is verified, we begin processing it and delete or irreversibly anonymise eligible personal information within 30 days.
• Your account, profile information, dependants, saved preferences and marketing data are deleted.
• Deleted information may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being securely overwritten. Backups are isolated from ordinary use.
• Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account — you must use one of the options above.

Data we may need to keep

Some information cannot be deleted immediately where we are legally required, or otherwise reasonably need, to retain it — for example:

• Medical records (consultation notes, prescriptions, laboratory results) retained under applicable healthcare and professional-recordkeeping laws, including records held on behalf of the healthcare providers who treated you.
• Payment and transaction records retained for up to seven years under tax, accounting and financial regulations.
• Records needed to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, respond to lawful requests from authorities, or establish and defend legal claims.

Where information must be retained, its use is restricted to that purpose and it is deleted or anonymised when the retention period expires. Full details are in the Data Retention and Deletion section of our Privacy Policy.
